A journal for Family, Friends, and all the sites I shall post this on
I left Sydney at 2:00PM On Sunday with Air Pacific. The plane was delayed a little bit because they had to remove a passenger who was considered a 'security threat'. I dont know much more about that. I had to Transit in Nandi, Fiji cause Air Pacific is a Fiji line. Landed there about 7:30 and left at about 10:00PM.
The flight from Nandi to Los Angeles was about 11 Hours and I landed in LA at 1:20PM (Sunday) and cleared customs by about 2:30. I am staying at LA with a former neighbor, who moved to America 7 years ago. He had a little trouble returning to his apartment cause for some reason they blocked off the entry to the freeway he takes. We got back, he showed me around the apartrment. I spent that evening walking round the streets nearby. I noticed the high levels of smog, but that didn't seem to bother me, the smog seems to add some class to the city. I was also surprised at how late the sun gies down, it doesnt seem to start to go down till 8 and thats late for even Sydney summer.
The first day, I went to Hollywood. Angelo works in downtown LA and dropped me off at Union Station. After about 10 minutes, I worked out how the metro system works and caught the metro Red line to Hollywood Station. Once there, I walked down Hollywood Blvd, Where I got some great views of the Hollywood sign and capitol Records, as well as the walk of fame, with all the star names in the ground. It was then I made the decision, to walk as close to the Sign as I could, I even found the trail that leads quite close to it, but I was underprepared, and in the blazing South Californian Sun with no water or shade the Hollywood Hills got the best of me, I only made it a part of the way, before I had to return to a source of water.
After that failed adventure, i decided to walk along Sunset Blvd and Sunset strip into Beverly Hills, But ended up catching a metro bus. I got a quick look at the sunset strip and Rodeo Drive, as well as some of the upper class houses in Beverly Hills, before I had to return to Hollywood Metro Station For the return home. By the end of that day, i was sunburned and very tired, I definitely underestimated the Summer Socal sun and that took its toll. However after a Nice nights sleep.
The next Morning I got up early again. I had a big day at universal studios planned. My friend drove me to Downtown LA once again, where we saw the large bank tower and the Aon centre. Downtown LA is smaller then Downtown Sydney, but that is due to the danger of Earthquakes in California. I caught the metro to universal city and caught the shuttle to the entrance. I got there early so I walked down Universal Citywalk. Plenty of shops and a huge guitar statue. I entered just after 9. The day I went in wasnt crowded, so all the rides had a maximum 10-20 wait time. I recommend the Back to the future Ride. The Jurassic park ride was also cool, cept Im not a roller coaster type person and the 84 meter drop at the end was quite scary for me. The Back lot and Front lot tour is also highly commended, where I got to see the Studios and sets where many of the Hollywood Movies we come to know were filmed.
That was also a tiring day, but I had finished all the attractions at about 5.
That just about covers my first 2 days, stay tuned for more updates. Stay Classy America.

Lalala. Don't bother meee. I'm too busy...
Dancing to own beat.
Singing to my own music.
Listening to my own words.
Living up to my own world.
And apparently not in the mood to talk to you. <3
